Tell us about where you’re from, what you do, how it all started and why you enjoy it.

I am from outside Atlanta, Georgia and I am the owner and designer of Griffin Pocket Tool®. I started GPT nearly 6 years ago after leaving a career in the outdoor retail industry. The purpose for the design was to simplify my personal EDC but also to fill what I felt was a gap in the market and the rest is history.

What are your aims and are there any items or products you’d love to make?

My goal is to offer the best product for the most reasonable price made in USA. There are a few other designs I have been working on for several years and hopefully we’ll be able to bring them to market in 2021.

What do you consider your greatest achievement in the work you do associated with EDC?

I have hard the opportunity to work hand in hand with several fantastic makers and EDC groups like the EDC Cooperative.

What is the best thing you have made and why?

I am pretty excited about the life and opportunities I have helped make for my family.

What EDC gear is in your pockets right now?

Knife (Benchmade Bugout), Flashlight (Olight Warrior Mini), Pen (Rite In The Rain Clicky), Griffin Adventure Tool Ti

What’s the favourite piece of EDC gear that you own?

Wazoo Cache Belt or Apple iWatch

What EDC item would you love to own and why?

Not really sure

A random fact about yourself that readers won’t learn anywhere else

Hmmm I also run two other small businesses, @georgiabushcraft and @bushcraftcoffeeco

  1. Had the pleasure of meeting him this past weekend. Great guy, extremely knowledgeable. And on a side note, his Camp Fire Coffee is out of this world.
