Tell us about where you’re from, what you do, how it all started and why you enjoy it.

Originally from Mexico, moved to the US (San Diego) and later to Melbourne, Australia where I currently reside.

I’m charge of marketing and also oversee product development.

It all started when I met our other co-founder during our Master’s Degree. We had a similar vision and shared passion for carry goods so we decided to go full throttle and launch ALPAKA in late 2016.

There’s nothing more fulfilling than waking up every morning excited to work on your craft. No two days are the same and it never gets boring! Except when tax season comes along 😀

What are your aims and are there any items or products you’d love to make?

Our aims are to keep producing high quality, aesthetic and functional gear that simplifies or enhances your life. We’ll be getting into backpacks soon, possibly more EDC goods and everyday accessories (caps, etc.).

What do you consider your greatest achievement in the work you do associated with EDC?

The HUB Ecosystem. That’s been such a useful system to use in my life and I’m sure in the life of many others.

What is the best thing you have made and why?

The Bravo Sling Max. It’s an extremely comfortable messenger style sling bag that I use every day.

What EDC gear is in your pockets right now?

The James Brand pocket knife, Lamy pen, HUB keychain by ALPAKA, UP Cardholder by ALPAKA, Orbitkey key organizer, iPhone 11 Pro with Quadlock case and AirPods Pro.

What’s the favourite piece of EDC gear that you own?

The James Brand pocket knife (forgot the name of the product)

What EDC item would you love to own and why?

The James Brand the Chapter Knife. Love the patterns, design and it’s partly made from Titanium.
