Tell us about where you’re from, what you do, how it all started and why you enjoy it.

Well I am from Colorado, Born and raised. I am a Diesel mechanic by trade which is still my full-time job. When COVID hit my then wife started a Etsy store” paragon Earth stones” making and selling masks. She got so busy that it lead to a second sewing machine and me helping her out when she would get backed up with orders. I kind of learned how to sew in High School Home economics, don’t laugh that was where the girls were!

Anyway with a little bit of experience a second machine and being brushed up from sewing masks, I started thinking about other things I could make. Around the same time I was putting together a Plate carrier and plates for myself, something not so easy to do at the time due to all the panic buying unless you wanted to buy import junk.

Once I had my Frankenstein carrier put together “yes Frank is the carrier you see In some of my product photos” I wanted some pouches to go with it and it all just kind of snowballed from there.

What are your aims and are there any items or products you’d love to make?

I want to continue to gain skills and knowledge in the making of EDC, tactical and recreational gear. I want to keep making gear in a fun and low pressure way. The EDC Community has blown me away with how supportive and helpful they are, I just want to make sure I’m giving to that type of community as much as I am taking from it. I have a few product ideas very specific to the EDC/RE community that I believe are very original I would like to work on when/if the mini pouch feeding frenzy slows down lol.

What do you consider your greatest achievement in the work you do associated with EDC?

That would probably be my belt slide pouch. No it may not be the most innovative thing in the world of EDC, but of the things I make it is the most technical. It has the most parts and pieces and while making one there are a few points where if you screw something up you are time ahead just throwing the last 45 minutes of your labor in the trash instead of trying to fix it.

What is the best thing you have made and why?

Easily that would be my mini plus pouch. Again not because of innovation, but because of the huge door it opened for me. The funny thing is it was one of the first things I made and had on my store and it never sold very well. That is until a certain customer requested Velcro on the front and posted it on Instagram. The next thing you know…..

What EDC gear is in your pockets right now?

Well I’m a bit old school and not too fancy lol. For a light I have a old Surefire 6p LED. I don’t want three buttons five power settings plus a strobe lol. A CRKT M21-04 folder clipped to my left pocket, a Leatherman wingman on my right and a clinch pic at center of my belt. A Glock 17 magazine and keys with a few extras aka p-38, handcuff key SOG Knife key.

What’s the favourite piece of EDC gear that you own?

That would be my 6.5” barreled 300 blackout AR pistol with a LAW folder I keep in my EDC pouch Okay okay okay, vertex backpack.

What EDC item would you love to own and why?

I need need need a pocket clip pry bar in my life. I start looking at them and can never settle on what designs and features I like best and end up getting nothing lol.
