Tell us about where you’re from, what you do, how it all started and why you enjoy it.

I’m from England but now live in Texas. I’ve been making and fixing things since I could hold a wrench. Eventualy I worked on gas turbines and aircraft and then started making my own objects.

What are your aims and are there any items or products you’d love to make?

That they last longer than me. That they fit into anyones life without being distracting. That they bring a feeling of ownership to their owners. That they provide a moment where the owner isn’t sure how it was made or put together and they have to discover how it was done.

What do you consider your greatest achievement in the work you do associated with EDC?

It has to be my Kicksarter campaigns and the opertunity they have given me to share other peoples projects (as others shared mine as well) and help make more cool things.

What is the best thing you have made and why?

The original mechanical pencil. It was made using very simple tools and I was doing it for myself without the idea of selling it.

What EDC gear is in your pockets right now?

leather Wallet, phone, a prototype bolt action pen I’m working on that will be part of our new Legends collection. A Cerakote bolt action pen with 360 degree laser engravin. With designs taken from legends of greek mythology. (I carry all my ideas around with me for a while to make sure they work).

What’s the favourite piece of EDC gear that you own?

It has to be my bolt action mechanical pencil. Its the last engineering problem I solved and the first true bolt action pencil.

What EDC item would you love to own and why?

I’d love to own an exotic metal pocket pen. One that would fit on a keychain but not a cylinder.

I love hammocks. I spent 6 months traveling around Brazil and sleeping in a hammock.
